Disclaimer

This library is for information and education. It is not medical advice, not legal advice, and not a substitute for training, local rules, or your own judgment.

Not medical advice

Nothing on this site is a diagnosis, a treatment plan, or a reason to ignore a clinician. First-aid notes, kit lists, and sanitation pages are general information. If someone is badly hurt, poisoned, or seriously ill, you get them professional help. Medical and sanitation hubs repeat this because those topics can sound like instructions when they are not.

Not legal advice

We don't interpret the law for you. Foraging, water collection, livestock, building, fire, camping, and food sales are regulated differently by place. What is fine on one ridge can be illegal on the next.

These activities can injure or kill

Fire, water, food preservation, weather, tools, shelter, and travel can burn, drown, sicken, crush, or strand people. Canning done wrong can kill. A stove used indoors without the right venting can kill. A creek after rain can kill. Read, practice in low-stakes conditions, and stop when you are past your skill.

You are responsible

You decide what you try, what you pack, what you feed people, and when you turn around. You are responsible for your safety and for anyone who relies on you. The authors, editors, and any future operator of this library are not responsible for injury, loss, or death that follows from using this site.

Local law is on you

Know the rules where you stand: water rights, forage, livestock, fire bans, food handling, and what you may build. We will not pretend a national checklist covers your county.

An operator legal name is pending. This disclaimer still applies to the words on these pages.
